Capture link clicks within PDF

Hi

I'm using the PDF Embed API to display PDF's in my website - is there a way to intercept links clicked within the PDF? I would like to possibly redirect to a page within my own site as opposed to opening a new tab, with a new site. At the very least, is it possible to have links use the current browser tab instead of opening a new one?
