How to disable the ability to add replies to commented annotations?

Is there any configurations regarding the ability to reply on comments in annotations?

I want to just view the annotation without being able to add a reply on clicking on it in PDF Embed API.

I found this workaround to de-select the annotation on the event level, but it would be nice if the config is available in the annotation manager

NOTE: the workaround mentioned above doesn't work when the comment is more than 3 lines long, it doesn't expand the comment on unselecting the annotation
