Javascript Headless annotation API?

Hello everyone! Is there documentation posted somewhere for headless pdf update for annotations? I did some checking and found some, but nothing specific to my use case. My prefered language to use would by JavaScript, but others would also work.

Adobe currently does not have a JavaScript headless API. However, there are Adobe PDF Libraries for C++ and Java that will let you work with annotations. If either of these languages will work for you. reply and I'll provide details.
