PDF Embed API: the pdf viewer logs the 'Load PDF' analytics GA4 event for some of the documents

We are using PDF embed API on the AEM webpages to open PDF documents for the end users. What we have identified is that, with certain PDF documents the 'Load PDF' analytics event is logged 2 times, which is skewing our analytics data.

Can someone explain why this is happening and how it can be fixed as well ?
