Question

Privacy & Security - Does Adobe store documents posted to PDF Extract API for any length of time?

Hi there,

Our application uses Adobe's PDF Extract API to process documents for business customers.

We need to be able to assure our customers that their data is not at risk of being leaked or accessed inappropriately.

Could you please tell me what happens to the documents uploaded to this API? Are they stored for any length of time after being uploaded?

Cheers,

Brad

They are stored for 24 hours but no one (including us) has access to the temporarily stored document. Also covered in our FAQ: https://developer.adobe.com/document-services/faq/tech-support/#data-security--privacy-how-does-adobe-document-services-use-or-store-file-content

Also, my coworker pointed out to me I should share that our REST API lets you *immediately* remove an asset if you wish: https://developer.adobe.com/document-services/docs/apis/#tag/Assets/operation/asset.delete
