Right API to Add text (edit) to existing PDF

Here is our requirement to identify the right API.

* Edit existing PDF. Basically to add text on designated placeholders.

* and sign with signature image at the signature place holder.

Looking for the suitable API compatible with React JS. Is it free or Paid?
