Question

Similar to others, our JSON response contains all figures - HELP

For the attached, document ween we send to the API endpoint we recieve a JSON that references figures as full page images instead of the text. We tried converting to postscript and back to PDF to no avail. I find it interesting that even if the document is OCRd, we still run into this problem.

Is there any advice on how to handle this?

@Luigi2962854224bm  @Raymond Camden   This looks like the bug that I encountered (DCSV-53202).   The lines on your document are fooling the service into thinking that the page contains an image.  I edited your text file and removed the lines (and removed everything after page 4 so I'm not using up transactions).  Attached is the editted PDF and the resulting JSON.  There are no figures in the JSON.
I've reported this bug and have been told that engineering has a fix for it, I'm now waiting on timelines.

Jeff, thank you very much for this. Really appreciate you taking the time to try out a potential fix for us. Send me a note at luigi@getprovision.co. Would be good to chat.

I was able to confirm this and I logged a bug. That's the best I can do right now.

Hi Raymond, frankly this is not helpful. As a customer, I would expect some level of urgency from your team on solving a pretty critical issue. What's the timeline? When are you expecting to solve this? How can we as users possibly rely on a system that results in such a critical error? I would expect you at least to reach out and better understand when this happens so you could design a solution. "logged a bug" is probably the least you could have done but still isn't enough to move the needle. What are you doing to solve this now?

Do you have an ETLA contract with us? If so, I can connect you with support for a higher level of response. In general, we aren't seeing this for the vast majority of calls. Again though - if you have an ETLA contract with us, you are due a higher level of support, and I can try to get you connected that way.
