Unique Annotation IDs

Hi there, I am using PDF Embed API and I need to store a reference to each annotation in a document inside my database.

 

It appears to me that the ids used to reference annotations change each time a pdf is opened with this API. Is there a way to keep these IDs static, or is there some other way to accomplish my goal?

    I'm also a little curious, if there's a way to store the annotations ids. Why aren't they stored as the annotation name in the pdf?
