Content Credentials cannot be applied – same error with Photoshop and Adobe Content Authenticity Web App
IMPORTANT:
This issue is reproducible in the Adobe Content Authenticity Web App
and is therefore not limited to Photoshop.
It also occurs with:
• a newly created Adobe account
• Chrome Incognito mode
• a mobile hotspot
• a clean 1000 × 1000 RGB JPEG created independently of Photoshop
Hello, I am having a persistent problem applying Adobe Content Credentials. The error message is: “Some Content Credentials could not be applied.” The problem initially occurred in Photoshop 2024, version 25.7, when trying to export an image with Content Credentials. To rule out Photoshop, the image, my Adobe account, and my internet connection, I performed the following tests: • Photoshop 2024 version 25.7 • Content Credentials enabled • RGB JPEG • 1000 × 1000 pixel test image • Latest Google Chrome version • Chrome Incognito mode • Adobe Content Authenticity Web App • A completely new personal Adobe account • A different internet connection using a smartphone mobile hotspot • A completely new RGB JPEG generated independently of Photoshop The result is always the same. The file uploads successfully to Adobe Content Authenticity, but when I select “Apply Content Credentials”, I receive: “Some Content Credentials could not be applied.” The same problem therefore occurs independently of: • Photoshop • my original Adobe account • my home internet connection • the original image • Photoshop-generated metadata Additional information: My previous Photoshop/Creative Cloud subscription is currently inactive. However, the Adobe Content Authenticity Web App is described as a free service, and I also reproduced the problem using a newly created Adobe account. Could an Adobe employee or Community Expert please advise whether there is currently a service-side issue with Content Credentials, or whether there are additional account/service requirements for applying Content Credentials? I would also be interested to know whether an inactive Creative Cloud subscription can affect Content Credentials in the Adobe Content Authenticity Web App. Thank you very much.
