Question

1) My converted document doesn't behave like a Word document. 2) I emailed te document to a coworker and it cannot be edited at all - it is not responsive to any commands.

1) If I click on a text or image, the document jumps to the center and none of the commands do what they would normally do in word... What gives? This is so disappointing! Also emailed the converted document to a coworker...the document cannot be changed at all i.e., it behaves like a PDF - can't be edited. Wht is going on??

Hi nancyu,

Do you know how the PDF that you converted was created? If not, choose File > Properties and look for the PDF Producer on the Description tab. If the PDF was created by a third-party PDF generator, it may not be include the correct file information to guarantee a good conversion. Please see Support Policy for PDF Files created by non Adobe applications.

Sometimes, though, it just takes triple-clicking in the Word document to select the text that you want to edit. Also, look at the top of the document window in Word--if you see an Enable Editing button there, click it to allow editing.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best,

Sara
