24 Hours and still going....Export to Excel

I have a very clean and easy to read 2,500 page PDF file that I want to convert to Excel so I can edit and use just several pages out of the document.  The 8MB document seems to upload fine and starts to convert but after a full day running in the background it does not seem to ever finish the export - it just keeps spinning on it and indicating it is working on the conversion.

Is there a maximum file size?  How long should this export take?

Hi Rogerb,

Sorry to hear about the trouble and time taken to complete your task.

Is that 2500 page PDF's total size if 8MB?  Document Cloud services allow you to upload and convert files that are up to 100 MB.

So, if it is 8MB then file size shouldn't be an issue.

  • You may try the conversion using a different web browser:  Adobe Document Cloud  or delete cache and cookies of the current one.
  • If that doesn't give any improvement, then you might need to check with a different internet connection, probably a faster one.
  • Try conversion through desktop application Adobe Reader DC. If not downloaded yet, then use this link to download it:  Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
