Abobe exportpdf doen not work with windows 8.1 and chrome or ieXI

When using exportpdf, the file is outputted to the cloud, converted and downloaded. Everything to this point looks good.  All messages  indicate a successful run.  When you open the xlsx file there no characters only little squares.  I think this means the output may be in Ascii still.  Results.Not usable unless I find out why.
