Acrobat XI Trial keeps quitting

I made a nice pdf form in Acrobat XI Trial version and saved it ok but when I try to fill in the form the program quits unexpectedly. Any ideas anyone?

I am on a Macbook running 10.8.5

and it also quits if I try to open preferences!

You try to fill the form with Acrobat, or Adobe Reader?

What are your Acrobat XI, Adobe Reader versions?
