Activation limitation for Acrobat?

I think I have a virus on my computer and I am probably going to have to restore windows. If I do that, can I reinstall Acrobat with the serial number I already have? or is the serial a one time use?

Hi criv88,

I'm so sorry that you're experiencing computer troubles. Before you wipe your computer, I suggest deactivating Acrobat. Then, when you reinstall you can activate it again. You are allowed to install Acrobat on two computers, but deactivating/activating will keep one instance of that serial number open for installation on a second computer. Here are some instructions: Activation & Deactivation Help

Hi Sara,

I have a similar problem with my laptop.  Does your suggestion apply to PS and LR?

Correct me if I'm wrong - by deactivating first and activating (after my laptop restore) still let me install PS/LR on another computer.  Is this correct?

I checked my Adobe ID account. It doesn't show any registered products.  However when I entered the serial number, the pop up message shows that the product has already been registered.  Any thoughts?

Greatly appreciate your help.

Mark.

Hi happyguy934,

Lightroom doesn't require activation, but Photoshop does. So, the deactivation/activation process does apply to Photoshop. You can only have it activated on two computers.

I checked your account as well, and don't see any registered products. Is it possible that you used a different email address when you purchased your software?

Best,

Sara
