Question

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, Combined PDF, Print Pages option not working...

I started testing the Print Pages option in a Combined PDF (right click on a bookmark to see the Print Pages option) but the print menu does not show up after selecting this option. I updated Adobe Acrobat XI to 11.0.8 but still no luck. I eventually created a combined PDF using several MS Word documents and the Print Pages option works fine. I'm guessing the conversion process in Acrobat XI added the necessary code for the Print Pages option to work.

My question is there an automated method of converting any PDFs created with earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat so that the Print Pages option will work with them or is there a setting in Adobe Acrobat XI that will automatically add the necessary code for the Print Pages option to work?

    Hi jackngai,

I think there may be another issue at work here. I've tried combining files both via PDF Pack and directly through Acrobat. I am able to bring up the Print dialog box in both Acrobat X and Acrobat XI by clicking a thumbnail and choosing Print Pages from the pop-up menu. (I'm on Mac OS 10.9.4.) I'm also able to get to the Print dialog box the same way in Reader.

What operating system are you on?

    Best,

    Sara

    Hi Sara,

I'm on Windows 7. Is there a way to save the individual files from the combined PDF? I can work with that as an alternative.

    Thanks,

You can extract pages from a PDF using Acrobat, which you can try free for 30 days, if you'd like. Please see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.
