Acrobat XI Professional does not open. Reader will not open PDF files.  Using Windows 7 Professional on Dell Reader does not open PDF Files.  I have uninstalled and re-installed twice.

What is your installed Acrobat XI version?  Reader XI version?

Can you open Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Ran Window program compatibility.  Changed settings for Acrobat X1 to always disable protected mode.  Did not work.  Received  Following Error MESSAGES:  BAD PARAMETER and Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE Server.  Latest version of Acrobat XI.  I downloaded from Creative cloud again this morning.  Deleted programs and re-installed from creative Cloud - April 2, 2015.

Do you get this error from Reader or Acrobat?
