Adobe flash player "host not elevated"

Question

how do I download flash player please - I get "host not elevated" when I type my password, or if downloading from the internet it says "download failed"? I am using the latest Mac operating system and Safari. I can't download Adobe reader either - same problem. thanks

Download the offline installersFlash Player: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmgAdobe Reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/You don't need any password to download Flash Player or Adobe Reader, but you will need your Mac's Administrator password to install them.
