In the last week or so Adobe PDF won't convert PDF into Word document on my laptop anymore. It used to but now it doesn't and I have to use a link on their website. What is the matter with Adobe PDF?

When you say Adobe PDF wont convert into word document, would you please elaborate what exactly happen when you try to convert a document? Is there any specific error message that you receive or its just one particular document causing trouble in conversion?
Are you converting the file online or using the desktop application Adobe Reader DC?
Try the conversion online- https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf and see if that helps.
Or if its the desktop application causing problem, then you may check if any pending updates are there? Launch Adobe Reader>Help>Check for update
