Adobe reader sign in problems

I am trying to download a pdf to word.  Every time I try to sign in I'm told my password is wrong.  I keep changing my password.  But that doesn't work.  What is wrong and how do I fix this?

    By "trying to download a PDF to word" do you mean that you are trying to export PDF to Word file?

    If yes, please try once to sign in here: https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and check if you can export PDF.

    Are you experiencing issue in signing in to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

    Please make sure that you are using the correct Adobe ID.
