Advanced Sky mask editing

I'm struggling to edit the Red Arrows aircraft and smoke over the sky. I have masked the Sky and Inverted, but it obviously has problems distinguishing between Cloud and Smoke. And I have tried Subject, but it captures some but not all the aircraft & smoke. I obviously want to brighten the aircraft and boost the red colour uniformly but I can't. Any ideas pls?
