After subscribing to adobesend.com , why can I no longer link directly to any pdf file on my computer?

It seems like once connected to adobesend.com, every pdf file on my computer has been turned into a fake link that will not open unless I am on the Internet. So, if I save a Microsoft Word file as a pdf, it isn’t really there anymore. If I scan a document on an HP all-in-one, it is saved only as a link to adobesend.com. Something is really off. Am I the only one having this problem?

Hi reneeb,

I'm not sure that I follow. Is it that all files on your system now look like they're PDF files? Please see Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon.

Does this problem only occur when you're logged on to https://cloud.acrobat.com/send--and does the problem go away when you log out? (Also, are you sure the link is to adobesend.com? That isn't an actual web page.)

It happens all the time. even for files I never sent through adobe send. I can not even print a pdf anymore. The filetypes look the same. I just can not do anything except send them through adobe send now, if they are pdf’s. I am sure this is not how it is supposed to work. If I get a spare two hours, I will call Apple Care and see what they say.
