Both Word and Spredsheet are scrambled

It sounds like you've used ExportPDF to convert PDF files to Word and Excel, is that correct? Do you know how those PDF files were created? (You can check by choosing File > Properties in Reader and looking at the "Creator" listed on the Document tab.)

I ask, because the quality of a conversion really depends on the quality of the original PDF. And, if that PDF isn't written to standards, then it might not contain the information that ExportPDF needs to ensure a clean conversion.
