Question

Can a file be open on 2 computers or iPad simultaneously?

Can a pdf in the document cloud be accessed, viewed and/or modified simultaneously on 2 different computers or iPads?

    Hi TomHenciek,

Could you please confirm the application you are referring here? is it Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Reader?

    • If it is Adobe Reader, then yes you can keep the application active on multiple device and view the same PDF anywhere at a time.
    • For license/subscription based application (Acrobat Pro) activation is allowed on 2 computers, but it is not recommended to use  simultaneously. However, for testing purpose you can check the document simultaneously to see if that works.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the response.

I have one version on an iPad, the other would be on a Mac/PC with Acrobat Pro DC.

So how would I do this?

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

I apologize for the delay in response to your last message.

It should work on both the devices, as working on different platforms on different devices does't cause any problem.

As Document Cloud is accessible online as well https://cloud.acrobat.com/ , which does not depend on platform and device type.

So you can access the file from multiple devices at a time.
