Can convert 1-page WORD file with wording above image to PDF but cannot convert 1-page WORD file with image above wording to PDF

Hello.

I'm a first-time user tonight. I have taken a 1-page WORD file with text on the top followed by 2 images and converted it to a PDF. No problem.

However, I have twice tried to take a 1-page WORD file with two images on the top followed by text and convert to a PDF but only get a blank file. It's as if the conversion software is not recognizing the image as the start of the document (nor is it recognizing the text later on). (Images are all black and white.)

I also found out I cannot combine files where any individual file exceeds 100 Meg. Is there a limitation on the size of the PDF that can be created? My WORD files total about 240 meg (I will break them up into smaller files).

     Thank you for responding.

So, today I make a new one-page WORD file and put the book title at the top of the page followed by the two images and then some text. This time a PDF is created with only the book title. So the software is failing when

it encounters the image which is a black and white image just like the images on the front cover which converted over to PDF with no problem.
