Can the originator for the placement of a scanned signature be determined

Question

I have received a pdf file with a scanned signature matching that of one of our employees. The employee doesn't use scanned signatures and doesn't know how to do place them into a pdf document. They did not place their scanned signature on the document. I'm investigating this and would like to know if there is a way to view document file data for this such as a date and IP Address for the placement of the scanned signature?

Any advice or assistance is greatly appreciated.
