Cannot edit pdf document with adobe acrobat professional

I am using Adobe Acrobat professional Version 7.0 on Windows 10.

I can open a document using the application but it will not edit the document.

When I press the mouse button I only get a hand that open an closes based on the mouse clicks

i just need to fill out a PDF form

Any suggestions

Thank you for reaching out.

 

As per your description above, you are using Adobe Acrobat version 7. Would like to inform you that Acrobat 7 is a very old and unsupported version. It is not compatible with Windows 10.

 

As you wish to fill the PDF form, I would suggest you use the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application. 

You may install the application from this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ 

Then open the PDF form in the application and use the Fill & Sign tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/fill-and-sign.html).

If there are form fields already added to the form, then you can simply click on the fields and fill in the information.
