Checkbox font changes-PLEASE HELP!

Question

Hi, I have a problem with my clickable checkboxes on my templates changing from check marks to black squares once saved. I noticed that when I create the template the font for the checkbox is zapfdingbats, however once saved it changes to Sans and I am not sure what to do. I am using Adobe Acrobat online with a paid work account. When I send the template for signatures the person can click the box and make checkmark, however once it is returned to me it is just a black square. Thank you.

Could you please confirm how these templates were created?

Would you mind sharing the screen recording of the workflow for adding form fields and changing properties?

Did you check if the issue occurs on the newly created forms?
