Conversion Failed

I am trying to convert a 3,300 page (55 lines per page) to an Excel spread sheet.  The data was originally in an Excel spread sheet.  The conversion fails after about 30 mins.  Is there a size limit to conversion?

    Hi trevorm90813884,

ExportPDF does impose a 100 MB file size limit. However, even when a file is smaller than that, ExportPDF can time out before it finishes conversion if the file is complex (and 3,300 pages certainly qualifies as complex).

You may have better luck converting via Acrobat. If you don't have Acrobat, please feel free to give it a try. You can download a 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

    Sara,

Thanks for your help.  I have done as you suggested but still could not convert the whole file.  I have established that the maximum number of pages that I can convert at one time is 200.  So this is now what I am doing.  Painful I know, but at least it will work eventually.

    Hi Trevor,

You're able to do 200 pages at a time via Acrobat (as opposed to the ExportPDF service)? What happens in Acrobat when you try to convert more than 200 pages? (You could be running into disk pace issues, as Acrobat is writing temp files.)

    Best,
