Converted PDF to Word docx but can not open it in Word 2016 , I t creates a critic error and black screen

How did you convert the PDF file to a Word file? What application (including exact version number) and method did you use?

I am using Windows 10 November upgrade and the latest Acrobat Reader DC.

I used the convert option on the tools bar on the right side of the screen.

It directed me to Adobe site to pay a yearly fee for the conversion service.

I paid and did the conversion.

The converted file was downloaded .It is 18 MB

At first It opened after 20 minutes

Now as described , It causes black screen and do not open at all
