CreatePDF desktop tool?

I have just purchased the PDF pack and downloaded the createPDF desktop tool as instructed. It shows up on my printer selection box however when I go to print a document to pdf it does nothing?

I have read contradictory information on this. Some have said Adobe discontinued the CreatePDF printer. Can anyone who knows about this make a comment?
