Do I want Pro DC? I have many documents that I need to combine. I want to scan them into a pdf, then convert them to a word doc so that I can copy parts of it and place the individual pieces into one document,

You will need Acrobat Pro DC in order to Scan document s to PDF.

You can also combine and edit PDF in Acrobat.
