Documents scanned as pdf are automatically converting themselves to picture format

Since installing the pdf converter whenever I scan a document under the pdf selection option it triplicates itself into a picture format without authorization.  What is going on ??

    Hi Jamesh,

    How exactly you are scanning the document, could you please share the workflow? Is it through the Acrobat DC application or through the scanner  itself?

    How does Acrobat's scanner works, for that you may refer to the help document here-  Scan to PDF, convert JPEG or TIFF to PDF | Adobe Acrobat DC

    Let us know if it still doesn't make any difference.
