Does ExportPDF preserve footnotes when converting to Word?

Hi Everyone

I have a long scholarly text with a lot of footnotes. Does anybody know whether footnotes are preserved when converting a PDF to Word using ExportPDF? I've tried converting the file with Acrobat XI Pro using the "Save as..." function and the footnotes appear as inline text.

Is this the same function being sold separately as ExportPDF or does paying for the subscription actually get me enhanced functionality?
