Embedded Font gets different name when edit

Question

We are generating pdf document with SSRS, these are view in the browser.
Using a company font that has xx 3.1 in the name. Fonts are embedded in the document and when viewing the embedded font name it is xx 3.1.

But when using the Edit text in the Acrobat extension the font name is presented some xx 31 and that does not exist so if goes to a wrong fallback font.
User can select the text and select the correct font that is correctly named xx 3.1.

Tried to find if this is a know issue that font can not have dot in the name but failed. Any idea on how to solve this?

As mentioned above, you are editing text on the Acrobat web application. Is that correct?

Please let us know what happens when you try to add text. Do you see any difference?

Would it be possible to share a sample PDF to look into this? It will help us to replicate the behavior. Without checking the file, we cannot comment whether it is a bug or a known behavior.
