export pdf to word produces non-editable document

I have paid Adobe for the Adobe Acrobat DC to allow export of PDFs to Word.  When I use the function the subsequent document is rubbish.  The data is there but appears to be contained within something like a Text Box AND in addition each page is separate so the whole document cannot be edited at the same time.  I use the facility to convert a PDF table into a Word table.  Without the conversion producing a whole Table, with any number of Rows,  immediately the function has no use to me.  I do not regard this as acceptable for the subscription I am paying for!

There is no facility in the programme to amend any Settings.
