Exporting PDF form to word formatting issues

When I convert a pdf to word the formatting of the document gets messed up, the pdf is a form with ticks in boxes, when it converts to word the ticks and boxes are all out of line and I cannot adjust them, how can i prevent this?

Are you exporting PDF to word or saving PDF file to .doc format. The PDF document you are referring here, is that originally created as PDF or was a different file format and then converted to PDF? 

You may try the conversion via- Adobe Document Cloud

Adobe Export PDF can create high-quality conversions, but the quality of converted document depends on the quality of the PDF file you start with. Also read- Text is garbled in a converted file | Adobe Export PDF
