failure saving document

I highlighted over 150 pages of a PDF on my iPad Acrobat app through the adobe cloud. I updated the app and had to sign back into my cloud account and reload the document - when my files opened, all of my highlights were missing. When I go to the outbox portion of the app, I see my pdf with an "! Failure saving document" note underneath. When I click on that  a popup sys "Unable to save [document name] to Document Cloud". Is there any hope of me restoring the highlighted pages?
