Files has vanished?

All of my very important medical record PDF filies have all of a sudden been corrupted and are no longer able to be retrieved. I am very angry that adobe is forcing all of it's users to keep buying and upgrading products

Personal opinion... any Cloud storage is for a COPY of a file, not the only one I have
