How can I be notified when a Web Form has been filled out?

Let me preface this by saying I'm just learning out to create web forms. My question is: how do I know if one's been filled out? Is notification automatic, or do I need to set that up? Any assistance would be MUCH appreciated!

To answer your question: Yes! Notification is normally automatic, but it’s worth confirming your notification settings so you don’t miss anything.

Here’s what happens by default and what you can check:

  1. Default Behavior

    • Once a recipient completes and signs your web form, Acrobat Sign emails the form owner (you) with a link to the completed PDF.

    • You can also see all completed web forms under Manage → Agreements in your Acrobat Sign dashboard.

  2. Check Notification Settings

    • Go to Account Settings → Personal Preferences → Notifications (or Global Settings, depending on your role).

    • Make sure the option for "When someone signs my document" (or similar wording) is enabled.

Hope this helps.

@Freedom Light Productions short answer, it isn't automatic. You need to set it up. The most easiest way to receive notifications is by adding a Submit button to your form. When you set up this button, you can specify an action, such as "Submit a form." You can then choose to send the form data via email by using a "mailto:" URL followed by your email address (e.g., mailto:youremail@example.com). This will trigger the user's default email program to send the filled-out form to you
