How can I get pdf to show picture of it's content?

When downloading a pdf file, they used to show the picture of it's content, now none of them are showing pictures.   : (   Don't know why. Please someone, can you help me?

    Hi Elisa,

    Ah, now I see! You're referring to the document thumbnails that previous versions used to display. Those thumbnail previews had to be removed from Acrobat DC for technical reasons.

    Hi Elisa,

    Do you see a big gray box where you expect to see the images? If so, please check to make sure that you have "Show Large Images" selected in the Page Display preferences.

    No, no gray box, it shows  PDF at the top of the file and the Fancy  "A" that they use under it. It used to show a picture so you new what that file is. I don't know what I did to mess it up. LOLOL.
