Hi dcpadre,

What do you need updates for? If you're referring to Acrobat or Reader, you can get the most current update by choosing Help > Check for Updates in those applications.

Thank you Sara.

My screen went black everytime I opened a PDF, the troubleshooter page said look for updates.

So I reloaded the Reader and all is well now. I am runnning Win 8 on a surface pro, just FYI
