How can I remove a password in Reader XI?

I am trying to remove a password from an old pdf (I have the password), but none of the security tab options are available to me.  How do I remove the password?

    Hi gmaitland253,

    That security tab will only be available with options to change, when you open the same document in Acrobat not in Reader.
