    Hello hanedis,

    maybe I can't understand your "I am unable to search my text book". Do you want to search it or in it?

    What concerns a the search function in a pdf file, so it#s no problem in (my) Acrobat XI neither in the Adobe reader, if you use (written in my German programs): "Bearbeiten >>> Suchen >>> F3 or "Bearbeiten >>> erweiterte Suche >>> Shift+Strg+F

    I need to search in it. I purchased the adobe access so that I could

    attempt to use the feature (OCR) which to my knowledge will allow me to

    search for specific words or phrases inside the PDF document. The PDF

    document I am attempting to search is a text book.

    When I press command (F) and the search box pops up, it does not find the

    word I type in even though the word is certainly in the text. This is my

    dilemma, it makes the book not as useful if I have no way to do a quick

    Search on words and phrases.
