How do I get Document Cloud PDF to use Open Sans fonts embedded in my Word document?

This is not an arcane, custom font.  I'm surprised Adobe products don't recognize it automatically. How do I get Document Cloud to do so?  If it won't, do you have another product that will, and can I switch over?
