How do I imbed a live link into a pdf?

I just subscribed to Acrobat Pro thinking this was what I needed to create pdfs with live links. I can't seem to make it work. Would love advice/help.

What exactly do you mean by a "live link"?

A hyperlink that is active -- that you can click on to and it will take you to the URL.
