Hi sherryf71584846,

To apply password security to a PDF file, you need to use Acrobat. (You set it via the document properties.) If you don't have Acrobat, please feel free to check it you. You can download a free 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

If you're concerned about the security of the Adobe Send online service, please check out this document: Security for Acrobat.com online services | Adobe

Best,

Sara
