How do I undo a conversion of all docs to pdf

I opened a file on my computer and saved it as a pdf, but instantly changed every document in my computer to a pdf, although most will not open. I have tried reverting to an earlier restore point, but without success. How do I correct tis disaster?

    Hi Elyguy,

    Please see this document: Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon.

    If the solutions listed there don't work to re-associate your filename extensions, please let us know!

    Hello Sara,

    Thank you for your solutions, but I have in fact just remedied the problem. I chose a much earlier restore date which worked. Whether it is a coincidence or not it predated an update to Adobe Flash Player.

    I have also just completed a back up, so if it occurs again I have a safety net.
