How do you password protect a file using pdf pack?

Purchased pdf pack because I was told I would be able to password protect files but I cannot find it.

Hi Joanh,

Sorry to say that, the information you received wasn't correct completely. You are a subscriber of Adobe PDF Pack, its a web service that can also be accessed through Adobe Reader desktop application.

Here are the details of what all it can do: Using Document Cloud Web apps and services | Adobe PDF Pack

As said by TSN above, you need Acrobat DC subscription to protect PDF. Here is how it works: Securing PDFS with passwords, Adobe Acrobat

Not sure who told you that (can you post a link?) You need Acrobat.
