Question

how to add a column in pdf

I need to convert a school roster which is in PDF to notepad comma delimited.  the problem I'm having is figuring out how to put commas after each student's ID, Name, Home room, and Teacher name.

I've tried converting to a spreadsheet and adding a column of commas but that doesn't work.  if there's a way to add a column of commas that would solve the problem.  I've tried asking the school to provide a text file comma delimited, but the only

thing they can do is provide a pdf which is not comma delimited.  Please, help. I have 10 large schools and don't have the time to add commas line by line.

    Hi eepto5123,

Oh boy, that's a tricky one. There really is no way to add a column to a PDF. If you have Acrobat, you could save as Word or RTF, then you might be able to use Find/Replace in Word to replace spaces with a comma or comma+space.

    Best,
