At acrobat.com, how do I determine the number of characters or words in a PDF file?

    Hi unk2,

    There's no functionality in the Acrobat.com online services to do a character count. But, you could use ExportPDF to convert your PDF file to Word format, and then do your character count in Word.

    To determine the number of characters or words in a PDF file, you can use Adobe Acrobat's "Export" feature to convert the PDF into a Word document or plain text file, then use a word processing tool to get the count. Alternatively, if you have access to Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can use the "Edit" tool to copy the text and paste it into an online PDF character counter for an instant result.
